BREAKING: Major Traffic Disruption Expected in Barrow This Sunday as BAE Moves Heavy Load

BREAKING: Major Traffic Disruption Expected in Barrow This Sunday as BAE Moves Heavy Load

Drivers in Barrow are being warned to expect delays this weekend as BAE Systems prepares to move a massive piece of equipment through the town.
The defence company confirmed that its next heavy load transport will take place on Sunday, November 30, and it will be travelling by road in the morning.

The move is expected to affect Bridge Road and Michaelson Road, where traffic could slow down or stop completely as the load passes. To manage the situation safely, BAE Systems will work with Cumbria Police to run a rolling road closure, meaning roads will temporarily close and reopen as the load moves along.

According to a BAE spokesperson, the disruption should last for around one hour, but drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys and plan their routes carefully.
