Barrow Festival Of Transport 2026 Winners Honoured After Spectacular Community Event

The 2026 Barrow Festival of Transport concluded with organisers announcing the winners of this year's awards, recognising some of the event's most impressive vehicles and displays after thousands of visitors gathered in the town centre for the annual celebration.

The festival once again showcased Barrow's growing reputation as a destination for classic vehicle enthusiasts and family entertainment. Held in the heart of Barrow, the free event featured an extensive collection of classic cars, vintage motorcycles, prestige vehicles, buses, trucks, emergency vehicles, and modern classics, alongside live entertainment and attractions for visitors of all ages.

Among the standout winners recognised during the festival were the Harry Potter car, a beautifully restored Triumph TR5, The Mustang Group, and the ever popular Herbie, all of which impressed judges with their presentation, originality, and quality. The festival also celebrated local businesses through its Best Shop Window Display competition. This year's honours were awarded jointly to Specsavers and Burrows, whose creative transport themed displays helped add to the vibrant atmosphere throughout the town centre.

Visitors enjoyed a packed programme of entertainment during the day, including live performances, stunt demonstrations, family activities, and interactive attractions. The event attracted vehicle owners and enthusiasts from across the region, with hundreds of exhibits filling Barrow's streets.

The Mayor of Barrow praised everyone involved in organising the festival, describing it as one of the town's flagship annual events that continues to bring together residents, visitors, businesses, and motoring enthusiasts. The event also supported charitable causes, with volunteers raising funds and awareness for local organisations throughout the day.
