Barrow BID Invites Local Traders To Join Autumn Fest Makers Market.
Local traders are being invited to take part in Barrow BID’s Autumn Fest, which will return to Barrow town centre later this year with a range of seasonal activities, entertainment and opportunities to support independent businesses.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, running from 10am to 4pm in the town centre. The event is free to attend and is being promoted as a family friendly day out. Barrow BID is encouraging local makers, independent traders and small businesses to get involved by showcasing their products as part of the event’s Makers Market. The market will provide an opportunity for local businesses to meet shoppers, promote their products and benefit from the additional visitors attracted to the town centre.
Autumn Fest will feature a Pumpkin Patch, returning for 2026, alongside pumpkin picking, creative craft workshops and cooking demonstrations. Visitors will also be able to take part in free activities and enjoy live entertainment and face painting.
One of the highlights for families will be the chance to meet alpacas, adding another attraction to the seasonal programme. Organisers say the event will offer something for people of all ages and provide an opportunity for the community to enjoy an autumn themed day in Barrow.
The event also forms part of Barrow BID’s wider efforts to bring more activity into the town centre and support local businesses. Events such as Autumn Fest can give independent traders an additional platform while encouraging residents and visitors to spend time in the town centre.
Further details about the 2026 event programme and participating traders are expected to be announced by Barrow BID in the run up to the event. With its combination of seasonal activities, local shopping, entertainment and family attractions, Autumn Fest is expected to provide another busy day for Barrow town centre as the autumn season gets under way.
