TikTok Star Khaby Lame Seals $975 Million Deal as Creator Economy Soars
Khaby Lame, the Senegalese‑Italian content creator who rose to fame with his silent, expressive comedy videos, has secured a massive $975 million deal centered on his brand and digital content.
The agreement struck with Rich Sparkle Holdings Ltd involves the sale or strategic partnership of Lame’s company Step Distinctive Limited, which manages his global brand and commercial operations. Under the terms, Rich Sparkle gains exclusive rights to Lame’s brand assets, including livestreaming, TikTok Shop content, short‑form videos, licensing and endorsements, for a multiyear commercial rollout.
A standout feature of the deal is the development of an AI‑powered “digital twin” of Lame a virtual avatar that uses his facial likeness, voice patterns and behaviour to create content and livestreams across time zones in multiple languages, potentially expanding revenue far beyond traditional content creation.
Industry analysts say this represents one of the biggest business moves in the creator economy to date, with forecasts suggesting the venture could generate billions in annual sales.
Lame’s extraordinary rise from posting silent reaction clips on TikTok to leading one of the largest creator deals in digital media history reflects both the commercial potential of social platforms and the influence of personality‑driven content.
