Biffy Clyro And The Libertines Lead Today's Kendal Calling Line Up.
Thousands of music fans are gathering at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District as Kendal Calling 2026 continues with another packed day of live performances featuring some of the biggest names in British music.
Today's programme is headlined by Biffy Clyro and includes performances from The Libertines alongside a wide range of artists across the festival's multiple stages. Biffy Clyro are among the festival's headline acts, making one of their long-awaited appearances at Kendal Calling after years of anticipation from fans. Known for their energetic live performances and chart-topping rock anthems, the Scottish trio are expected to attract one of the weekend's largest crowds.
Joining them on today's line-up are The Libertines, whose iconic indie rock catalogue continues to make them one of the UK's most popular live acts. Festivalgoers will also be able to enjoy performances from numerous established and emerging artists across the event's themed stages, offering a diverse mix of rock, indie, electronic, folk, comedy, and family entertainment.
Running from 30 July to 2 August, Kendal Calling has once again transformed Lowther Deer Park into a vibrant festival site welcoming around 40,000 visitors. The event has become one of the UK's most successful independent festivals, regularly selling out while combining major headline acts with a strong programme of new talent, arts installations, comedy, talks, and family activities.
Beyond the main stage performances, visitors can explore themed areas including comedy venues, interactive art spaces, food villages, craft markets, and late-night entertainment. The festival is also recognised for showcasing local businesses and independent food vendors from across Cumbria and the North West.
Organisers have also introduced additional safety measures this year due to exceptionally dry weather conditions. Festivalgoers have been asked not to bring disposable or charcoal barbecues onto the site in order to reduce the risk of grass fires, while small gas camping stoves remain permitted.
Kendal Calling continues to play an important role in the region's economy, attracting visitors from across the UK and providing a significant boost to local tourism, accommodation providers, restaurants, and businesses throughout the Lake District.
