South Cumbria Schools Invited To Join Festive Hospice Event.
Schools across South Cumbria are being encouraged to get into the festive spirit by taking part in the Elf Dash 2026, a Christmas fundraising challenge organised by St Mary’s Hospice.
The event is scheduled to run throughout December 2026, with the hospice inviting people in the local community to take part and raise funds to support its work. The hospice provides specialist care and support for people affected by advancing illness, as well as support for their families. Its services are delivered across the local community, with fundraising helping the charity continue providing care.
For schools, the Elf Dash offers an opportunity to combine physical activity, festive fun and fundraising. Pupils can take part alongside classmates while learning more about the importance of supporting local charities.
St Mary’s Hospice regularly organises fundraising events and challenges throughout the year. The charity says that taking part in its challenges helps raise money for compassionate care for patients and families across the community. The hospice’s current events programme lists the Elf Dash 2026 from December 1 to December 31, making it part of its wider programme of Christmas and community fundraising activities.
