Cumbria Police Offer Degree Apprenticeship With Salary Up To 31k

Cumbria Police have introduced a degree apprenticeship programme offering new recruits the opportunity to earn while they learn and build a career in policing.

The scheme known as the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship allows candidates to work as frontline officers while completing a fully funded university degree over three years.

Successful applicants will receive a starting salary of more than 31k which can increase significantly as they progress through the programme.

During the apprenticeship recruits will combine practical police work with academic study gaining real life experience while developing key skills needed for the role.

The programme is designed for individuals who want to join the police without already holding a degree making it an accessible pathway into law enforcement careers.

Officials say the initiative aims to attract a new generation of officers by providing financial support career development and hands on training at the same time.

At the end of the programme recruits will graduate with a professional policing degree and continue their careers as fully qualified police officers.
