Woman Threatened and Held Over Carlisle Bridge During Disturbance, Police Investigate
Police in Carlisle are investigating a serious incident in which a woman was allegedly threatened and held over a bridge by a man during the middle of the day.
The incident is reported to have taken place on 13 May at around midday at St Ninian’s Bridge. According to authorities, the suspect threatened the woman during the confrontation and at one point held her over the structure.
Despite the severity of the incident, the victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
A man from Carlisle has been arrested in connection with the case and has been released on bail while further investigations are carried out.
