06 Apr 2026 Ulverston man jailed after telling ex he might kill her during prolonged stalking ordeal

An Ulverston man has been jailed following a disturbing case of prolonged stalking against his former partner, during which he made threats that he might kill her.

The court heard that the offender carried out a sustained pattern of unwanted contact and harassment over an extended period. His behaviour included repeated attempts to communicate, causing significant distress and fear for the victim.

At one point during the campaign, he made a chilling remark suggesting he might kill his ex-partner, escalating concerns about her safety and prompting further police involvement.

Authorities described the conduct as controlling and deeply alarming, highlighting the serious emotional impact such offences can have on victims. The prolonged nature of the stalking added to the severity of the case.

Following legal proceedings, the man was handed a custodial sentence, bringing an end to the ordeal and offering some protection and reassurance to the victim.
