Police Appeal After Quad Bike Stolen from West Cumbrian Farm
Police are appealing for information following the theft of a quad bike from a farm in West Cumbria.
The yellow and grey Yamaha quad bike was reported stolen from a farm at Big Grigg, near Egremont, on May 30 at around 12:10 p.m. Officers have launched an investigation and are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who has relevant dashcam footage from around the time of the theft to contact police.
Rural vehicle theft continues to be a concern for farming communities, with quad bikes frequently targeted because of their value and usefulness on agricultural properties. The latest incident has renewed calls for vigilance among local farmers and landowners.
Cumbria Police have asked anyone with information that could assist the investigation to report it online or by telephone, quoting the relevant incident log number. Anonymous information can also be provided through the independent charity Crimestoppers.
Investigators hope that witness accounts or video footage will help identify those responsible and recover the stolen vehicle.
