Man Arrested Following South Cumbria Road Rage Incident
A man has been arrested following a road rage incident on the A590 near Ulverston in South Cumbria that left another driver injured.
The incident occurred on Ulverston Road in Swarthmore at around 2.15pm on Wednesday, May 13, according to Cumbria Police. Officers said two drivers stopped their vehicles and became involved in a confrontation beside the road.
Police reports state that one of the men allegedly assaulted the other during the dispute. The victim suffered injuries to his nose and a damaged tooth, while a vehicle door was also reportedly kicked during the altercation.
A man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a black Peugeot 2008 rental vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, who may have seen the confrontation take place.
Police are also asking anyone with dashcam footage or additional information about the incident to come forward as investigations continue.
