Drug Driver Crashed Car Carrying Toddler During Police Chase in Millom

A drug driver led police on a dangerous chase through Millom before crashing a vehicle that was carrying a toddler, prompting serious concern from authorities.

The incident unfolded when officers attempted to stop the driver, who instead sped away, triggering a pursuit. The chase continued through local roads before coming to an abrupt end when the vehicle crashed.

Police confirmed that a young child was inside the car at the time, adding to the severity of the situation. Fortunately, the toddler did not suffer serious injuries, but the incident has been described as extremely reckless.

The driver was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested at the scene following the crash. Officers highlighted the significant risk posed not only to the child but also to other road users during the pursuit.
