Driver Stopped on M6 Found with £147,500 Worth of Cannabis
A driver travelling on the M6 was stopped by police and arrested after officers discovered a large quantity of cannabis hidden inside the vehicle, with an estimated street value of around £147,500.
The incident took place during a routine motorway patrol when officers pulled over the suspicious vehicle. Upon searching it, they uncovered a significant amount of the Class B drug, leading to the immediate arrest of the driver.
Police described the driver as appearing nervous before the stop, which raised further suspicion during the encounter. The seized drugs have been taken for forensic examination as part of ongoing investigations into suspected supply activity.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspect is being questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. Investigations are continuing to determine whether the case is linked to wider drug trafficking operations along the motorway network.
The M6 continues to be a key route for drug interception by police, with multiple similar seizures reported in recent months as part of intensified enforcement efforts.
