Driver Arrested After Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Kendal Crash

A driver has been arrested after a pedestrian suffered a serious lower leg injury in a collision on Valley Drive in Kendal, with Cumbria Police launching an investigation into the incident.

Emergency services were called to Valley Drive at approximately 1.42pm on Monday following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Police officers and ambulance crews attended the scene, where the injured pedestrian received treatment before being taken to hospital.

Cumbria Police confirmed that the driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving. Officers have not released further details about the individual while investigations continue.
