Dalton woman ordered to pay £9,000 after damaging Porsche in property offence case
A woman from Dalton has been ordered to pay nearly £9,000 in compensation and legal costs after she was found guilty of a property damage offence involving a Porsche.
The case was heard at magistrates’ court where it was confirmed that the defendant caused criminal damage to a luxury Porsche vehicle during an incident that led to police investigation and court proceedings.
During the hearing the woman admitted responsibility for the damage. The court considered the seriousness of the offence especially due to the high value of the vehicle involved which significantly increased the compensation amount.
As part of the sentence she was ordered to pay a total financial penalty of approximately £9,000 covering both compensation to the vehicle owner and additional court related costs.
The judge emphasized that criminal damage cases involving high value property such as luxury cars are treated seriously by the courts particularly when deliberate or reckless behaviour is involved.
The case forms part of wider enforcement action against property related criminal offences in Cumbria where police continue to investigate incidents involving vehicle and property damage.
Authorities reminded the public that causing deliberate damage to property can result in heavy fines criminal records and court penalties depending on the severity of the offence.
