Cannabis And Grinder Seized During Workington Vehicle Search.

A man is due to appear in court after officers seized cannabis and a grinder during a vehicle search in Workington.

Officers from Allerdale Police searched a vehicle in the West Cumbrian town on the afternoon of Friday, September 25, according to police. During the search, officers discovered a box containing cannabis and a grinder which had been tucked away inside the vehicle.

Police have not released further details about the amount of cannabis found or the circumstances surrounding the vehicle search. The man is due to appear before Workington Magistrates’ Court in the near future, police said. The discovery comes as police forces across Cumbria continue to target suspected drug-related activity and use stop searches and intelligence-led operations to tackle illegal drugs in local communities.

Cumbria Constabulary has previously said that information from members of the public plays an important role in helping officers identify suspected drug dealing and related criminal activity. However, the latest case remains subject to the court process, and the seizure of drugs does not by itself establish guilt.
