Body Found During Search For Missing Man In North Cumbria

​A body has been found in north Cumbria during the search for missing 53 year old Phillip Cox. Police confirmed the discovery was made near Penton, north of Carlisle, and said the circumstances surrounding the death remain unexplained.

The body was found at around 6.10pm on Thursday, September 3, following the search for Mr Cox. The location was near Penton, an area to the north of Carlisle.

Police have confirmed that the death is currently being treated as unexplained. However, officers said it is not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
