Arrest Made After Reports of Youth Threatened With Axe In Sedbergh

A man has been arrested after police received reports that a youth was threatened with an axe in the Sedbergh area.

Cumbria Police said they were called to the incident following concerns raised about a confrontation involving a bladed or offensive weapon. Officers responded and carried out enquiries in the local area, leading to the arrest of a suspect.

The incident is being treated as a serious public order offence, and investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

Police have not yet confirmed details about any injuries but said they are continuing to support the individuals involved and are following several lines of enquiry.
