Advertising Banners Stolen from Cockermouth Business Spark Police Appeal
Police are appealing for information after a number of advertising banners were stolen from a business premises in Cockermouth, in what is being treated as a targeted incident of theft.
The banners, which were being used to promote local services and attract passing trade, were reportedly removed from their display points sometime overnight. The theft was discovered when staff arrived at the site and found the promotional materials missing.
The incident has caused frustration for the affected business, which relies on outdoor advertising to reach customers in the busy Cockermouth area. Staff have described the loss as both financially inconvenient and disruptive, as replacement banners will need to be ordered and reinstalled.
