£37,000 Worth Of Cocaine Seized In Early Morning Penrith Drugs Raid.
Around £37,000 worth of cocaine has been seized during an early morning police raid in Penrith following information provided by members of the public.
Officers from Cumbria Police's Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team and Area Intelligence Unit carried out a drugs warrant at a property in Penrith on Wednesday, August 26. During the search, officers discovered cocaine estimated to have a street value of approximately £37,000, along with other items indicating that the drugs may have been intended for onward supply.
A 32-year-old man, named as Spence Quinn, was arrested during the operation and has since been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. Quinn was remanded in custody following the raid and was due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 27.
The operation forms part of Cumbria Police's ongoing efforts to tackle the supply of illegal drugs and remove suspected dealers and illicit substances from communities across the county.
