Workington Man Charged Over Seven Commercial Burglaries

A Workington man has been charged after police investigated seven reported commercial burglaries across the town over the past week.

Kyran Weston, 22, of Casson Road, Workington, has been charged in connection with the series of alleged break ins affecting businesses in the West Cumbrian town. The charges follow investigations into incidents reported to Cumbria Police over recent days.

Weston is due to appear before Workington Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 4, where the charges will be formally presented. Court proceedings will determine the next stage of the criminal case.

Cumbria Police have not released further details about the individual businesses involved or the nature of the items allegedly stolen while the case remains before the courts.

The charges form part of ongoing efforts by officers to tackle business crime across West Cumbria. Police continue to encourage business owners to report suspicious activity promptly and to review security measures to help prevent further offences.
