Appeal Issued To Find Missing Woman Last Seen In Windermere
Police are appealing for help to find a missing woman last seen in Windermere after concerns grew for her welfare yesterday.
Amber Irvine, 49, was last seen on Tuesday 28 July at Stuarts Sports store in Windermere. Officers believe she was wearing a pink raincoat and was carrying a cat in a pink pet carrier when she was last seen.
Cumbria Police believe Amber is likely to have travelled using public transport. She is described as 5ft 6in tall, with green eyes and short brown hair.
Investigators have also confirmed that Amber has links to Hull, East Yorkshire, raising the possibility that she may have travelled outside Cumbria following her disappearance.
Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for Amber's welfare and are urging anyone who has seen her, or who may know where she is, to come forward as soon as possible.
Members of the public are asked to call 999 immediately if they see Amber. Any information that could assist officers in locating her should be reported without delay.
Anyone with information can also contact Cumbria Police online through the force's reporting portal or by calling 101, quoting incident number 209 of 27 June 2026.
Officers thanked the public for their assistance and urged people to continue sharing the appeal as searches and enquiries remain ongoing to help bring Amber home safely.
