Volunteers Needed as Barrow Prepares for Final Dave Day Celebration
Volunteers are being invited to support Barrow’s upcoming Dave Day event, which will bring thousands of people together to remember television chef Dave Myers. The celebration will mark the final ride in his honour and continue his legacy of bringing communities together.
The event was created after the death of Dave Myers, one half of the popular Hairy Bikers duo. Thousands of bikers are expected to take part in the tribute ride from London to Barrow, with fundraising at the heart of the occasion.
Organisers say extra help is needed to ensure the event runs smoothly. Volunteers will play an important role in welcoming visitors, supporting activities and helping create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.
Dave Day has already raised significant funds for charity, including support for Childline and other causes close to Dave Myers’ heart. The event has become a major community occasion, attracting people from across the country.
Local organisers are encouraging people to get involved and help make the final Dave Day a memorable tribute. The celebration will bring together bikers, families and residents in a shared event dedicated to remembering a much loved figure from Barrow.
