Thousands Join K2B and C2B Charity Events Across Cumbria for Local Causes
Thousands of participants gathered across Cumbria to take part in the annual K2B and C2B charity events, raising money for important causes while celebrating community spirit and determination.
The well known fundraising challenge saw cyclists, walkers, and supporters travel across demanding routes stretching through the county, with many participants completing the event in support of charities connected to health, community care, and local families.
The K2B route traditionally runs from Keswick to Barrow, while the shorter C2B challenge begins in Coniston. Both events attract large numbers of entrants every year and have become major fixtures in the local fundraising calendar.
Participants included people of all ages and abilities, with many taking part in memory of loved ones or to support organisations that had personally helped their families. Local businesses, volunteers, and community groups also played a major role in supporting the event throughout the day.
Organisers praised the incredible turnout and the atmosphere created by supporters lining sections of the route. They said the event once again highlighted the strength of community fundraising across Cumbria and the willingness of local people to come together for important causes.
Many riders and walkers described the challenge as physically demanding but rewarding, especially knowing the money raised would go toward charities and services supporting people across the region.
The event continues to grow in popularity every year and remains one of Cumbria’s most recognised charity challenges, bringing together thousands of people united by personal stories, determination, and a shared desire to help others.
