Muslim Youth Charity Challenge Raises £12,000 For Fitz Park Playground.
A charity challenge organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) has raised £12,000 towards the development of the playground at Fitz Park in Keswick.
The event took place on Sunday, 30 August, bringing together around 300 participants from Cumbria and across Britain for a day of fundraising and community activity. Participants took part in two major challenges, including a 30-mile cycle and an 11-mile hike, helping to raise funds for the planned improvements at Fitz Park.
The event provided an opportunity for participants to combine physical activity with charitable fundraising, while supporting a project that will benefit families and children in the Keswick community. The £12,000 raised will contribute towards the development of Fitz Park’s playground, helping support the provision of an improved recreational space for local children and families.
