I’m A Celeb 2025 Camp EVACUATED After Huge Storm Hits Jungle
The I’m A Celeb 2025 camp was evacuated after a huge storm dumped 50cm of rain, flooding the jungle set in New South Wales. All 12 celebrities were moved to safety in the Bush Telegraph as filming was paused. Filming had no choice but to stop as torrential rain hammered the set for nearly two hours.
Why evacuations are necessary
Evacuations on the show are not only due to flooding. Heavy rain can cause the jungle banks to turn into slippery sludge, which often brings leeches down into camp posing a real danger. Earlier in the season, viewers saw contestants panic when leeches appeared in the natural pool.
Not the first time
Weather problems have happened before:
Last year, the camp had to be evacuated twice.
Contestant Jane Moore previously revealed her bra was left soaked in blood after a leech latched onto her during a flood.
Last year’s winner Danny Jones said jungle storms created “one of the hardest nights,” with the group crammed together in the heat while constantly checking for leeches.
The downpour caused chaos, soaking bedding and attracting dangerous leeches, a common issue during heavy rain. Production said their safety procedures worked immediately, and the cast returned once the storm passed.
This isn’t the first time last year the camp was evacuated twice due to similar weather.
