Rebuild Nominated for Prestigious Regional Award

A Cumbria-based organisation that combines environmental action with social impact has been honoured with a nomination for a prestigious regional award.
Rebuild, known for its efforts to reduce waste and support local communities, has been named a finalist in the Inclusive Innovation Award category at the 2026 Northern Power Women Awards.
Through initiatives like its reuse shop and strategic partnerships with the construction industry, Rebuild keeps usable materials out of skips and in circulation within local communities creating environmental benefits while providing skills, access and opportunities for community groups, schools and households.
The Northern Power Women Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that are driving equity, inclusion and social impact across the North of England, and Rebuild’s nomination recognises its practical approach to making the circular economy work for people and communities.
Rebuild was selected from a record 1,800 nominations and judged by an independent panel of 90 judges, underlining the strength of its contribution to social innovation and sustainability.
Winners will be announced at the awards celebration in Manchester on Thursday, 12 March 2026, where Rebuild will compete against other finalists in the Inclusive Innovation category.
The nomination highlights Rebuild’s growing reputation as a leader in environmental action with meaningful social value and community engagement at its core.
