Historic Ambleside Butcher's Shop Transformed Into Spacious New Family Business Home

A long established family butcher in Ambleside has entered an exciting new chapter after relocating into a converted former property that has been transformed into a modern business premises while retaining its historic character.

Garside Butchers, a well known family run business founded in 1984, has moved into its new premises on North Road, just a short distance from its previous location. Owners Hayley Garside and Seb Butlin said purchasing their own premises had been a long term ambition. The business has built a strong reputation by sourcing meat directly from Cumbrian farmers, supporting local agriculture while maintaining a transparent and sustainable supply chain. The additional space will also enable the company to increase production and create new employment opportunities as demand continues to grow.
