Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster Appoints New Chair

18 Apr 2026 Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster Appoints New Chair

Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) has appointed a new chair, marking a key leadership change within the organisation as it continues to support business growth and innovation across Cumbria’s energy and industrial sectors.

The appointment was confirmed through the cluster’s governance structure, where board members are nominated and elected by the organisation’s membership at its annual general meeting. The role of chair is central to guiding the strategic direction of the cluster and supporting its wide network of member businesses.

BECBC is a major business network in Cumbria, bringing together companies from across the energy, nuclear, engineering, and supply chain sectors. The organisation focuses on promoting collaboration, innovation, and business opportunities across the region’s key industries.

The new chair will work alongside the board and executive team to continue developing the cluster’s strategy, strengthening partnerships between industry and public sector organisations, and supporting members in accessing new opportunities in the energy transition and wider economy.

The leadership change comes as BECBC continues to play a key role in representing hundreds of member organisations and supporting economic development across the region through networking, events, and sector collaboration.
