Appeal for Missing Man in North Cumbria

11 May 2026 Appeal for Missing Man in North Cumbria

Police have renewed and intensified their appeal for information after a man was reported missing in North Cumbria, with officers saying they are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

The man was last seen in the North Cumbria area, and extensive enquiries are now underway to try and establish his movements and current whereabouts. Officers are carrying outdoor-to-door checks, reviewing available CCTV footage, and speaking to people who may have been in the area at the time he was last seen.

A police spokesperson said the priority is to ensure the man is found safe and well, and they are urging anyone who may have seen him, or who may have any information no matter how small or insignificant it might seem to come forward as soon as possible.

Members of the public are also being asked to check dashcam footage, home security systems, and any other recordings that may have captured relevant movements in the area. Even brief or unconfirmed sightings could prove vital in helping officers build a clearer picture of his last known movements.

Police have reminded the public that missing person investigations can move quickly, and early information is often crucial in determining the next steps of the search operation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Cumbria Police immediately on 101, or 999 in an emergency where there is an immediate risk to life. Enquiries are ongoing.
