Speed Camera Vans to Operate Across Cumbria Today

Cumbria Police road safety camera vans are operating at a number of locations across the county on Saturday, October 17, as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and tackle speeding.

The planned locations include the A65 between Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale, as well as sections of the M6 between junctions 42 and 45 and junctions 37 and 35.

Other areas included in Saturday's operation are Kendal, north Carlisle, the A689 between Carlisle and Brampton, Distington and the A595 between Workington and Sellafield.

Camera vans will also be operating in Whitehaven and along the A66 west of Penrith.

Police regularly use mobile camera vans at locations across Cumbria to monitor vehicle speeds and encourage motorists to follow posted limits.

Drivers are being reminded to remain aware of speed limits, particularly on major routes and roads where enforcement activity is taking place.

The locations can change, and motorists should always drive according to the conditions and comply with the applicable speed limit.
