Speed Camera Vans To Operate Across Cumbria
Drivers across Cumbria are being reminded to take extra care and observe posted speed limits as mobile road safety camera vans operate at several locations around the county.
The camera vans are scheduled to visit a number of areas covering both major roads and local routes. Their presence forms part of ongoing efforts to encourage safer driving and reduce the risks associated with excessive speed.
One of the areas identified for camera enforcement is around Wigton, where motorists travelling through the town and surrounding roads are being urged to remain aware of their speed.
The B5302 between Wigton and Silloth is also included among the locations where a road safety camera van will be operating. The route serves communities across the northern part of the county and can experience varying traffic conditions.
Further south, Millom is another location included in the enforcement schedule. Drivers travelling through the town and its surrounding roads are being reminded that speed restrictions apply and should be followed at all times.
Kirkby-in-Furness is also on the list of locations where motorists may encounter a mobile camera van. Drivers using roads through the area are advised to pay close attention to local speed limits and changing road conditions.
Camera enforcement will also take place on the M6 between junctions 40 and 44. This section of the motorway covers a significant stretch of Cumbria and is regularly used by commuters, commercial vehicles and longer-distance traffic.
The A6 north of Penrith is another location included in the schedule. Motorists using the route are being encouraged to maintain appropriate speeds and remain alert to other road users.
The Penrith area itself is also included among the locations where mobile speed camera activity is planned. Drivers travelling around the town should therefore remain aware of the applicable restrictions.
