Askam in Furness Manufacturer Enters Liquidation

17 Oct 2026 Askam in Furness Manufacturer Enters Liquidation

A manufacturer based in Askam in Furness has entered liquidation following a decision to voluntarily wind up the business.

Urform Limited, which has operated from Duddon Road in Askam-in-Furness, was placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation earlier this month.

Public insolvency records show that Jason Dean Greenhalgh and Dean Watson were appointed as joint liquidators on October 5, 2026. The liquidation notice was subsequently published in the London Gazette.

The company, which was established in 1988, was involved in manufacturing foam products and other related products. Business records list the company as a manufacturer operating from its Askam-in-Furness premises.

The latest available insolvency information lists Urform's assets at around £1.4 million, based on its July 2025 accounts.

A creditors’ voluntary liquidation is a formal process in which a company that is unable to continue its business is voluntarily wound up, with appointed liquidators responsible for dealing with its assets and outstanding liabilities.

The development marks the end of more than three decades of trading for the Askam-based manufacturer and could have an impact on employees, suppliers and other creditors connected with the business.
