Lawrence Robb Becomes Fifth Celebrity To Leave Strictly Come Dancing

02 Nov 2026 Lawrence Robb Becomes Fifth Celebrity To Leave Strictly Come Dancing

Lawrence Robb has become the fifth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2026 after losing his place in the competition’s Halloween Week results show.

The actor, known for playing Mackenzie Boyd in Emmerdale, faced elimination alongside professional partner Jowita Przystał after finishing among the three couples at the bottom of the combined judges’ scores and public vote. They competed against actress Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu, and House of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia with Nancy Xu.

The results marked the first time in the programme’s history that three couples had entered the dance-off. Each pair had to perform their Halloween routines again in front of the judges, who were asked to decide which couple should leave the competition. Lawrence and Jowita performed their Tango to the Ghostbusters theme by Ray Parker Jr, while Jaime and Carlos repeated their Salsa and Bethany and Nancy performed their Jive.

All four judges ultimately agreed that Lawrence and Jowita should be eliminated. Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood voted against the couple, while Motsi Mabuse, who held the deciding vote, confirmed she would have reached the same decision. The result ended their run in the BBC competition, despite Lawrence having shown progress during previous weeks.

Their elimination came after Saturday’s Halloween-themed programme, where the couple scored 26 points for their Tango. They finished ninth on the judges’ leaderboard, while Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola topped the table with 36 points for their Charleston. John Nellis and Katya Jones followed with 35 points, while several other contestants also secured strong scores during the evening.

The results programme also featured a performance by singer Becky Hill and a special Halloween-themed routine from the professional dancers. The group performance was set to Dracula by Tame Impala and included a recorded voice appearance by actor Sir Ian McKellen, who read an extract from Bram Stoker’s gothic novel. The remaining contestants will now prepare for the next stage of the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing will return on Saturday, 7 November, with the 10 remaining couples taking to the ballroom. The competition will return to its usual two-couple dance-off format for the rest of the series following the special three-couple elimination during Halloween Week. Lawrence and Jowita are also scheduled to appear on Strictly: It Takes Two to reflect on their experience.
