Kendal Car Park Closed Due to Electrical Issue

A car park in Kendal has been closed following an electrical issue, prompting disruption for motorists visiting the town.

Westmorland and Furness Council closed South Lakeland House Car Park with immediate effect on Monday evening, October 26.

The council said the facility would remain closed for at least part of Tuesday, October 27. Further information about when the car park would reopen was not included in the announcement.

Drivers travelling into Kendal have been advised to use alternative parking facilities while the closure remains in place.

Kendal Shopping Centre Car Park is available as an alternative and is open from 7am to 7pm.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys to avoid inconvenience.

The temporary closure follows an electrical issue affecting the South Lakeland House site. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
