Leeds Building Society Reopens Refurbished Kendal Branch

31 Oct 2026 Leeds Building Society Reopens Refurbished Kendal Branch

Leeds Building Society has reopened its refurbished Kendal branch, bringing an updated customer space back to the town’s high street.

The branch, located at 83 Stricklandgate, welcomed customers back during the week with goody bags and cupcakes to mark the completion of the refurbishment.

The project has refreshed the premises for customers who prefer to manage their finances through face-to-face appointments rather than relying solely on digital or telephone services.

The Kendal branch is staffed by a team of four, providing members with the opportunity to speak directly with employees about their accounts and financial needs.

Graham Binns, head of branch network at Leeds Building Society, said the organisation was proud to continue investing in its branches and the communities they serve, particularly at a time when some businesses were reducing their presence on the high street.

He described the Kendal branch as an important part of the local community and said the refurbished premises would continue supporting members who value personal contact with staff.

Binns also praised Diane and the wider Kendal team for their work supporting customers and the surrounding community.

The branch is open from Monday to Friday, between 9.30am and 4.45pm. Customers can also visit on the first Saturday of each month, from 9.30am until noon.

The reopening maintains a staffed building society presence on Stricklandgate, offering local customers an in-person option for accessing support and discussing their financial arrangements.
