Injured Person Rescued from Lowther Castle Adventure Playground
A person with suspected head and back injuries was rescued from a wooden fort at Lowther Castle’s adventure playground in Cumbria.
Penrith Mountain Rescue Team was called by the North West Ambulance Service at around 4pm on Monday, October 19, to assist a casualty with a suspected head injury.
When the rescue team arrived, ambulance staff were already at the scene and the injured person was inside the playground’s wooden fort.
Following an initial assessment by the ambulance crew, rescuers used a vacuum mattress to help protect the casualty’s suspected back injury.
The team then carefully transferred the person onto a stretcher and carried them a short distance from the fort to the waiting ambulance for further medical care.
The rescue operation involved coordination between the mountain rescue team and ambulance personnel to safely remove the casualty from the play structure.
